Overview

The Town shares planning notices when someone applies to make changes to how land is used. This can include things like changing a zoning rule, updating the Official Plan, or asking for a small change (called a “minor variance”). These notices are required by law and help keep everyone informed.

What’s Changing

Someone has asked the Town to approve a change that doesn’t match the current rules or plans. The application explains what they want to do and why.

Why It Matters

Changes to planning rules can affect how land is used in your neighbourhood—such as new buildings, types of homes, or how busy a street might get. It’s important to know what’s being planned so you can share your thoughts.

How You Can Participate

Some planning applications include a public meeting where you can share your opinion. You can speak at the meeting, send a written comment here on this page, email or call the Manager of Planning and Development, or just attend the meeting to listen. Meetings are also available online or on Eastlink Community TV.

What Will Be Done With the Feedback

Town Council will read and listen to all community feedback before making a final decision on the application. Your voice helps shape the future of your community.
