Mural Design Selected for John Street North Bridge in Balmoral Park

Thank you to everyone who participated in our public engagement survey and shared your feedback on the proposed mural designs for the John Street North Bridge in Balmoral Park.

Submission 1 was selected as the preferred mural design by the public and has since been approved by the Parks and Beautification Advisory Committee, Town of Aylmer Council, and Elgin County Council.

Congratulations to the artist, Alicia Meharg, on the selected design! We are excited to see this project come to life later this year.

We also want to thank all of the talented artists who submitted mural designs and shared their creativity with our community.

We’re pleased to share that the Town of Aylmer has also adopted a Public Art Policy, creating more opportunities to collaborate with artists and bring new public art projects to our community spaces.
