Elk Street Reconstruction Update: July 9, 2025

The Elk Street reconstruction project is progressing to the next phase. As a part of the Phase 2 construction, a connection to the John Street South watermain is required.

Location: Elk Street and John Street South Intersection

Schedule: Tentative Start Date - Monday, July 14, 2025
Anticipated Completion - Wednesday, July 16, 2025

Scope: Installation of watermain and restoration of intersection

Contractor: PV-EX Construction Ltd.

Impacts During Construction:

Traffic: To facilitate a safe work environment during trenching activities, John Street South will be limited to one lane of flagged traffic. A minimum of one lane of flagged traffic will be provided at all times. The intersection will be restored with base asphalt upon completion of the works.
